2021/22 Annual Report?
Making a difference to people in North Lanarkshire means everything to the staff and stakeholders at Routes To Work (RTW).
At a time of great change - we have managed to continue to transform the lives of our clients.
Despite the challenges of Covid and the economic climate, Routes To Work has continued to grow with flexible working now a key tenet of the business after the needs of our clients changed during the pandemic.
In doing so, our colleagues have supported almost double the number of people year on year, and turnover is almost £4m.
Staff have felt empowered, that they have the freedom to innovate and have only emboldened their sense of pride at being rooted in the local community.
In this annual report, you’ll see how RTW have continued to deliver key activities set against a challenging backdrop.
This includes four powerful stories from the Kickstart, Prospects for Parents, Young Person’s Guarantee and Schools programmes.
Largely featuring young people aged 16-24, the stories in this year’s report reflect a wider focus on youth from government.
Both the Scottish and UK governments have put significant investment in youth, particularly through Kickstart and the economic recovery after Covid.
We also hear Catherine Scorgie’s story as she became Routes To Work’s 20,000th client and transformed her life.
These first-hand accounts from the people who have benefited most from engaging with us cement the feeling that, after almost 20 years, things are only going from strength to strength for Routes To Work.
